Phuket
Chilling out, eating and shopping (with the occasional pampering
session at the spa). Jungle trek, snorkelling or
sightseeing? Phuket choices for every visitor - do nothing
(very enjoyable) or get on a tour to see national parks, temples and areas
of interest (also great fun).
There are tours and trips of every type, some specialise in giving a
flavour of local island life with stops at rubber and coconut plantations,
while others focus on shopping and visiting beauty spots. Or if you're not
wild on shopping and prefer to combine some action with your sightseeing,
there are tours which include elephant trekking, canoeing or
snorkelling. Or why not learn something new while you're on
holiday? Imagine qualifying as a diver and try a dive course
or cook up a storm when you return home and learn to cook Thai food - the
authentic way.
If you'd like to go beyond Phuket Island, you can take a day trip to
one of the many nearby islands - visit the mainland province of Phang Nga
with its amazing limestone scenery and "James Bond" island or visit the
famous Phi Phi Island.
What ever choice you make, you'll be sure to have a fabulous time.
