Chill Out - Heath, Beauty and Relaxation A Real Pampering at the Amari Coral Beach's Sivara Spa One of Phuket's newest spas, Sivara, at the Amari Coral Beach, is nestled amongst the lush tropical landscape, on the headland of Patong Bay.   With stunning sea views and an emphasis on natural products, this tropical garden spa is a "must do" for those who are into serious pampering.   With the sound of the waves rolling on the shore in my ears and the untouched natural surroundings forming an exquisite backdrop, I knew when I arrived that I was going to be in for quite a treat. The four teak wood salas, which make up the spa, are tucked away in between the trees and the salas are separated by a garden walkway, which is surrounded by beautiful gardens and pots overflowing with lotus and lilies.   The individual salas give both complete privacy and panoramic views over the bay.   Being so close to nature, the surroundings provide an oasis of tranquility and are a perfect retreat from the every day stresses of your life. In front of the spa is a small herb garden where, carefully tended, grow the fresh ingredients for many of the treatments.   Aloe vera grows alongside lemon grass, ginger and a whole host of other fragrant delights.   We entered the reception sala to be greeted by Spa Manager, Khun Chotika (Aoy).   Whilst enjoying a delicious tamarind juice and admiring the pieces of Thai art, Khun Aoy explained to us that Sivara offers both a combination of Thai herbal remedies and Western beauty therapies.   Before guests select a treatment, Khun Aoy spends time with the guest discussing the benefits of the different treatments, along with their skin type, to ensure that the treatments selected are those which will work best for the client. Khun Aoy told us that the spa's dual treatment salas mean that it is especially popular with couples indulging in a romantic break in Phuket.   Each of the salas also has an outdoor shower, a wet area and a sun terrace for relaxing after the treatments.   However, to really spoil yourself, the larger deluxe sala also features a steam room and outdoor jacuzzi.   What more could you ask for, soothing treatments, skilled therapists and fabulous views together with the one you love? The selection of treatments available at Sivara includes both Thai and oil massages, body polishes and wraps, facials, water treatments and a full range of classic beauty therapies.   In addition, there are also a number of packages, which combine natural products and complimentary treatments for full vitality. I decided to try the tomato body wrap, a treatment exclusive to Sivara, (90 minutes, Baht 2,500++).  This body wrap begins with a gentle herbal salt scrub to exfoliate your skin, this is then followed with a body wrap of specially blended fresh tomatoes and papaya to moisturize and revitalize the skin.  My partner opted for the herbal salt scrub (30 minutes Baht 1,200++) and a mind relaxing massage (1 hour, Baht 1,600++).  The salt scrub gently removes the dull surface of skin cells, leaving your skin with a fresh natural radiance.  The scrub is followed by a nourishing and moisturizing yogurt rub down, to restore your skin's healthy look.   The mind relaxing massage is a unique combination of therapies designed to ease away tension of the body and mind.  This gentle massage utilizes fingertips and palms to relax the tired muscles througout your body, helping to promote a sense of well-being.
