An Active Holiday for Older Children
When you stay in Pattaya, make sure you take
advantage of the wide variety of watersports which are available. For example, the
Lake Land Cable Ski is a safe environment for learning water skiing, with
a cable tow in a fresh water lake. Pattaya is also an ideal place to
learn to windsurf and the Loog Chat school on Jontien Beach
comes highly recommended. They have lessons which cover all skill levels. For those with
less balance, the Royal Varuna Yacht Club offers dingy sailing
instruction.
For the adventurous, there are also many diving
schools in the area, which do both PADI courses for beginners and take
seasoned divers to nearby sites.
It is also possible to snorkle off the islands 30 or 40 minutes from
Pattaya Bay and see a reasonable selection of fish life. For younger water
fans, Pattaya Park makes an ideal day trip with a variety of different
water slides to try out and direct access to the beach. A more sedate
alternative suitable for dads and teenagers would be fishing, either in
one of the nearby lakes or deep sea fishing from a boat.
Budding Schumachers will be delighted to hear that Pattaya is host
to a go-karting circuit. Paint balling is also an excellent way to
burn off excess energy. For those who are pony crazy, there are several
stables in Pattaya which offer both treks and instruction. For tuition in
other sports such as golf, tennis and swimming, the Pattaya Sports Club
has instructors available. Or, why not try a round of mini golf, which is
always fun for everyone?
Our Guest Relations are very knowledgable about
all of the activities mentioned above and can
help you with bookings and advice.
